What is your definition of a good night out?

Jeremy Clarkson made the comment that "a good night out in the UK, is simply a case of seeing who can get completely and utterly rat-bottomed before the hour of midnight". What is your definition of a good night out in the UK? Is Clarkson right?

1. A well cooked meal in a quiet restaurant with some very good friends.

3. Good quality meal at a restaurant with family and friends. Plenty of wine. Brandy and Coffee to finish. (I did used to down 15 pints in a session but that was 30 years ago).

6. I overheard 3 women discussing this same question the other day!!! The first one said, she was a romantic, and a good night out was being whisked to the opera by a handsome man, followed by a canle-lit dinner in a good restaurant, then her companion would escort her home and leave with a tender kiss. The second woman said she was a ladette and a good night out was getting lads to buy her WKD and Smirnoff Ice drinks all evening, going to a club to rave it up til 3am, then waking up in her apartment not knowing how she got there. The third woman said she was a hooker, and when she got home, she threw her knickers against the wall, and if they stuck, she had had a good night out!
7. old clarkson is right on the money again. is there anything he can't do?
8. People with different tastes will have different meanings for a good night out but I guess these questions require more universal and broad answers. For me a good night out would be something after which I say ,"Yes it was worth it."
